futuristic: no one predicted the cell?

The films 20 century futurists have generally omitted an essential element of early 21st century: the cell and its great mass.

Perhaps I have missed a movie, if so I would like let me know, but I do not remember a film based on the future of the nineties to rear to incorporate this simple yet revolutionary device that changing telecommunications and why not the world. One of the things I wonder of this phenomenon today is very poobres see people as garbage scavengers texting on her cell phone, this is a clear example of how he entered our lives, even sweeping social class boundaries. But
the funny thing is that few saw this coming for over 20 years, at least film proves it.
Not that you have completely wrong, there were many approaches that, while not hit the target, at least they imagined something a bit similar. One of the most common in several classic films is such futuristic clock camera phone, why you never massifies unlike the phone? simply because they use it as a clock only allows one-handed maneuver, it also has a limited size screen for an obvious topic of comfort (no one can wear a watch the size of a modern cell), so camera phones with watches simply never were a reality not because technology does not allow it because the man found another way more comfortable, versatile and maneuverable of using telecommunications.
I thought this because in many futuristic movies, even when one imagines the future, they tend to imagine things that are more grandiloquent the naked eye ( flying cars, futuristic architecture, robots, etc ) but sometimes major changes can be very small things imperceptible at first glance, the unthinkable phones are a clear example of this. Today's hard to imagine the world without them, but the film inspired by the future 20 years ago not looked so well.

Science Fiction Film: Matrix

Matrix, the film of the brothers Wachowsky is a very distant future where technology has reached such high levels of intelligence that have turned against its creators and worse have been subjected and use them as source energy, but I like the interesting thing is neither this nor the impressive visual effects is the philosophical approach that makes the film about virtual reality .

Often when we dream our brain does not distinguish very well if it is reality, I realized this child, depending on the time sleeping and can reach levels where the brain does not distinguish the difference. In a likely future through technology it may mimic these behaviors to the point we become immersed in virtual worlds that while our conscience will know that they are virtual, our feelings will be as cerebral as the very real reality to the point that we have to psych to enter these worlds that deceive our brains of thousands of years of evolution.

Returning to the movie, this gem of science fiction cinema and raises an interesting question: If we lived in Matrix and lived in a virtual world implemented using intelligent robots tubes, but in this virtual world that is so real as reality (in our brain) are happy and live a full and healthy life And if the other side could live the reality that we would not be in capsules or liquid-filled tubes, controlled by machines or robots, would live the real world as it is, but it turns out that apocalyptic world is ugly, a technological chaos, the only thing where there are robots everywhere with no thought own is no trace of life, or can even see the blue sky; world what you choose to live ? think that there would be too solemn and heroic to live in the real world for wanting to change it, this is the movie.
is a fact that using virtual reality technology will be effective in the future, surely the Matrix scenario but probably will not happen if we live and experience virtual parallel worlds that we can configure it to taste like a character in the movie.

virtual reality and science fiction cinema: the future and man-machine war

men's fear of technology progress, for fear of the unknown, or simply change to a new world that lies ahead, a future that will be postponed crumbling ancient rites and customs while imposing rules new, rarely been as evident in humanity and the fear of unknown future technology shown in the film, a constantly and rapidly evolving that uncertainty and fear.

been in the cinema especially immortalized in several science fiction films dealing with the technological future in the most apocalyptic and pessimistic: the war between man and technology, the man and robots. I think the logic of this may be due in part to an extremely fast technology has evolved in recent decades, especially robotics and computers and the uncertainty this creates in a view to the future. Machines robots that think like humans and feel as such and are willing to release (also human feeling) by war, or even backwards, robots or machines, and subjecting the man and is trying to break free. In my opinion this view is a bit paranoid and exaggerated but I love the yields cinematically. Pelíiculas
Some celebrities who treat the future war between humans and robots are Terminator and Matrix , both from different perspectives, it is as if rapid progress as the man carried his own ruin by the rebelliousness of its own scientific advances or technology, instead of taking it to a better, more comfortable or more possibilities.
Another precursor but in a more subtle is 2001 of Kubrick where the ship carrying humans rebelling against these by their intelligence. Sean

paranoid or apocalyptic, these films somehow show fears of a society that looks to the future with the necessary skepticism, but sometimes this can be a profound source of conservative sentiment and irrational, no longer required to report or show the reality that although they are very difficult with the outcome, it is good to give a warning signal and the film also know that although technology is not a demon that turns against its creators, is not a benign entity in nature and requires the full responsibility of humans for use it properly.

Sleigh Wedding Cake Stands From Wood

futuristic film: 2084 Total Recall

Total Recall (1990) , directed by Paul Veroheven returning as that Robocop (1987) set in the future to a movie, this time in 2084 . The film that came to light almost 20 years is a futuristic film gem despite the bizarre acting of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

can be considered in some respects quite innovative, for example begins to look in the future the possibility of a virtual reality that our brain can not distinguish from real due to its realism. No longer just about machines and robots, but a way of life worlds existing in the material but not in brain. The protagonist decides to travel to Mars and do not know if in the real world or in a company that sells souvenirs, this is because the latter has advantages how to ensure perfect and happy memories and no risk of anything and with the advantage of being as real as any memory. Finally he decided to this company.
In one of the most celebrated moments of the film the rebel leader tells the protagonist " are what we do", making clear the philosophical approach that makes the film about reality and memories.

Almost ten years later (1999) came Matrix, a futuristic film picks up the theme of virtual reality, in the latter is implanted in humans by machines without the knowledge of men, who simply live this world without noticing the difference .

Some tips futuristic according Veroheven 2084:

  • Travel Companies engaged in the sale of souvenirs
  • Home mail: while breakfast offers a beautiful backdrop on the wall electronica
  • Civilization on Mars
  • Car driven by robots
course not totally missing the dummy in this case with mutant human-like protruding enter the women with four breasts or arms alien taxi driver.

Why Do Leaves Change Color In Autumn Bio Ap

according Futurist Cinema: Man Cibernetico

Robocop, the movie 1987 directed by Paul Veroheven set in 2015 is an issue that not many movies deal with the future: "cyber man" . Many futuristic movies treat Man-Machine relationship in a conflict like two different worlds that eventually enter the war (Terminator, Matrix, 2001 etc). But many think the future holds a conflict but an assembly. The machine and man even in a physical merging. There are already people with mechanical arms implanted in the body and can be moved with the thought , although the movements are limited so incredible is that you can move the very thought would like a real arm, and there is a device that can be deployed to the blind and you can do to see, albeit in a very low resolution, no detail and no black and white, this due to the difficulty of using technology to mimic the millions of nerves that carry the messages from the eye to the brain, but scientists believe that this barrier will gradually blurred to the point that in less than one hundred years believe they can fully reproduce the human vision and this will come with infrared vision, night and others that may set and change at home. Robotics and sent messages through thought can become a reality in the 21st century. In the future you rather have your arm "real or a robot arm with a vastly superior force and able to do things one flesh and blood can not, or your true legs, or a capable of running and jumping as much as you want?

The music of the future

photo: Schaeffer in action

The music in the 20 th century suffered a very positive revolution that many disregard or forget, were not the Beatles or Elvis or Michael Jackson, were the recording media and sound recording.
While this wonderful art accompanies humanity since before the civilized man, (including anthropologists believe that the music was one of the most important factors for creating social bonds and form their own culture, concepts that were the basis for building a civilization) was only in the last century when the man could by the art recording technology in a format with sound you can listen to original music and is recorded for posterity. In Renaissance

500 years ago we realized we could record the music but not in a written format that required sound but the interpretation and execution of professionals, the only way to listen to music before the 20 th century was to have musicians around who could run this art This is one of the things that differentiate the music of other arts such as painting, literature and sculpture at the time of completion are recorded for posterity.

This great change in the history of music has changed the art in a radical way: the music went global (anyone from any country could hear the music that is to anywhere in the world), are amplified (some musicians had millions of followers spread across the world thanks to sound recordings could hear), it became an art much more dynamic and constantly evolving (through the influence that musicians from all over the world) and another very important thing, the Register of a particular sound could be used as an instrument itself. In the 40's Pierre Schaeffer was a precursor of the sampler to play the recorded sounds on tape (sounds as diverse as a bird singing, the sound of a locomotive or produced in factories) and then cutting the ribbon into pieces and pasting to form a sequence or specific rate (the famous cut and paste so common in our days), more than 30 years later invented the sampler simplifying the process through technology.
This caused much controversy in more conservative circles of the music as it is culturally believed that only certain sounds were music (eg violin, bagpipe or any instrument) while others were considered simple noise that had nothing to do with music (the sound of a bird or a locomotive), what happened was that the sound design was not considered an art in itself, the music consisted of rhythm, melody and harmony and sounds to use were it to existing instruments, the only creators of new custom sounds luthiers were only able to create new instruments with particular sounds, today the creation of new sounds with samplers, synthesizers and software programs made accessible to all musician, the creation and design their own unique sound is to become an art in that it can not be questioned even by the most retrograde conservatives and surely will be instrumental in the music of the century 21. We may not realize but this recent revolution in its infancy sound as if we take the history of music as a whole day recently equate to the last minute of the day.
In another post we will discuss the history of the synthesizer as the sampler is the basis for the sound of the 20 th century revolution.

Example Of Welcome Letter For A Church

futuristic Film: Demolition Man

Movie which premiered in 1993 and has a starring Sylvester Stallone. The story is about a cop and a criminal who is cryogenically frozen (frozen alive) and wake up almost 40 years later, in the year 2032 .
There is a memorable moment in which the prime minister of the city of the future speech by videoconference with the peculiarity that instead of watching on a large monitor different faces with which he spoke, had a table with 6 ready TVs that people seated, with the faces of all individuals with whom he spoke at the forefront of every single monitor spinning even when the minister was moving in order to continue watching it. Logically this is possible but a bit unnecessary, I would say like a futuristic technological fetishism so nice to see in movies.
cryonics As discussed in another post, because in this movie only serves as a mere pretext for the journey to the future context.
Another classic scene from the film is when the player is paid to have sex with the female protagonist (Sandra Bullock) and takes what a disappointment to learn that in future only have virtual sex, using a helmet that has sensors that carry messages to mind as if the experience was real. Perhaps not so wrong to think that it may have highly realistic virtual experiences (although I have doubts that in 2032 it gets to that point are indistinguishable from reality), but that does not mean you stop practicing "sex on the old" and pretended to be the hero with the beautiful Sandra Bullock, and that virtual sex was greatly impaired (one of the funniest moments of the film).

Some interesting tips 2032:

  • interactive Autos we speak, advise and help.
  • lethal weapons police are replaced by others that just disabling.
  • machines that were everywhere penalizing people when cursed. Skills
  • human subjects could be inserted by software.
  • virtual helmets and safe sex.
things that surely will be met by 2032 but some things need to be taken as very yielding cinematographic resources and nothing else.
very funny to see when the bad guy (Wesley Snipes) uses a computer to obtain information and street looks like the monitor in 2009 looks prehistoric today, not even starting is lcd or plasma, in addition to the low resolution that, while in 1993 was modern and looks very old now. A clear example of the constraints under which the film has to try to imitate a technology that does not yet exist.
The film also brings to the table interesting questions about the balance between freedom and security in society (balance must be constantly reviewed and balanced) by a future that is completely controlled to the extent prohibited physical contact sex risk disease or banned junk food.

Where Can I Find Katydids

Teleportation: fact or fiction? Futurist Cinema

Color del texto
Star Trek, one of the classic TV series from the late 20 that although this set in 2265 and soon will coincide with the predictions of 250 years here is something that was typical of that series that still causes a lot of uncertainty and skepticism among the most: the teleportation. Who does not remember the famous phrase "transportanos Scotty" who so often saved the life of the crew, in this decade experiments open the possibility that it is actually something that 50 years ago no one could believe possible.

  • In 2002 a group of Australian scientists managed to teleport a laser beam to disintegrate after
  • in 2004 simultaneously in two places in the world (the U.S. and Austria) were able to teleport first atomic particles (quantum teleportation).
  • In 2006, Danish scientists are able to teleport an object composed of millions of particles visible to the naked eye and microscope.
The question that most bothers me personally is, can teleport living without disastrous consequences or unpredictable? This question will generate an interesting debate about whether humans or other living creatures are only a matter or something else, "the teleportation who will give us the answer?.
In science fiction the teleportation is nothing new but the application to the real world if possible change our lives in a way it's hard to imagine, even at the quantum level this phenomenon may give rise to a new generation of computers based on this new technology which could generate thousands of computers times faster than today.

Gay Hot Spots In Fort Worth

: Back To The Future 2

Movie directed by Robert Zemeckis in 1989 set in 2015 , 26 years after being filmed. Today at 20 years of its launch in 2015 only 6 years old can get a rough idea of \u200b\u200bthe rights and wrongs of betting (in terms of time travel talk about that in another post.) Clear that we must take into account that maybe the movie was not intended to project the reality of most real way, they may have things that are in place for film and pay nothing more, but there are other moments in the movie that is quite similar successes that reveal at least some intent for portions of the movie to be precise visions of the future.
Some betting quite lifelike:
  • The photo shows the large billboard video instead of static billboards. Cameras
  • everywhere, when arming mess after the persecution in aeroskate is seen as the cameras filmed the incident public, today everywhere is a little camera cellular or digital to film any riots, but the common people have not put in every corner of the state.
  • Videoconferencing: a lot of movies of the future include video conferencing, especially in business situations, but today is a reality accessible to many people, we can say that I do not have the popularity that expected to be used today mainly to see someone else naked.
There are also some exaggerated betting that even in 2015 will be seen as very futuristic:

  • flying cars and scooters
  • Mushrooms that fit electronically
  • In the scene where he enters the cafe 80s two children are surprised because Marty has to use his hands to play a video game (although and not needed devices external to practice a game, will still be necessary body movements, played by thought was part of a more distant future )
in the success or approximations have to give credit to the creators , there is also a deliberate intention to exaggerate this at various times, with the subject of cars flying seem as if the technology breakthrough that long ago came to experiencing sometimes think that things happen too soon, as a kind of unbridled technological optimism. Anyway
a masterpiece of cinema.

Mucus One Week Before Period

Literature: The Third Wave

book written in 1980 by Alvin Toffler is a good reflection on the cultural changes of recent years and the next seen from a global way.
Toffler is the theory that we are currently experiencing the transition between the second wave and the third, called "waves" to major cultural changes for much of the world population.
  1. first wave: the agricultural revolution
  2. second wave: the industrial revolution
  3. third wave: the information revolution?
The transition during the first wave when humans stopped being nomad and settled in a territory based on agriculture which is the cradle of the civilized world, and this occurred in a span of millennia, in the second wave to the industrial transition occurred in centuries while the third wave is produced in decades. According to Toffler this transition from the second to the third accounts for the vast majority of ideological and political conflicts taking place today between a new world struggling to settle permanently and one that struggles to remain and not become extinct two different models that run counter to such an extent that one must die and that will be the former is replaced by a new one.
Following this approach will occur sometime in the fourth wave of change that will occur following the trend in less time than it takes to transition between second and third and also to consolidate not in decades but in some years.

Since the 40's to 70 computers were becoming smaller and cheaper in a huge, since the Eniac of 30 meters long and 2 million dollars (machine that required the installation of air conditioning due to environmental heat to 50 degrees Celsius that produced the huge consumption of electric energy in the 18000 vacuum tubes) to a Aplle 2 of 1977 feet and a thousand dollars. But then from the seventies until today the size of the hardware has not changed too much (an apple 2 has the same size as a powermac g5, 2008) and prices are also relatively similar with respect to their seasons, the matter is that the radical change since the seventies has been the possibilities offered by computation, be it software, internet etc, in a manner so colossal as was the difference in size and price between the first machines.
In 1984 came the mouse, an object for the next anticuadisimo generations to come.
The mouse and keyboard in a few years will be as prehistoric as it is today an interface ibm360 1964, everything will be much easier and intuitive to operate enough to see the iphones, 2009 to see what today and can do. Is that in fact the keyboards, mouses, cables and I even dare to say that much of the buttons and knobs are in the dawn (although the latter definitely never), screens with resolutions of thousands of pixels by thousands of pixels, that the future is very close, touch screens sensitive to both human fingers as special pencils or body movements and voice commands, all crowded course. Perfect, more powerful fast and many more possibilities but at the same time more manageable and understood by all. It is a big step from the first computers that could only be handled by several people simultaneously that had to be experts not only in what was desired but also calculate the hardware giant that owned the machine and everything to do addition, subtraction and bit more .
Not to mention the severe overcrowding in the use of computers in the 50, the Univac was one of the most popular computers used by large companies and only a few tens of units built on the basis of price, space and capacity to understand , while in 2009, millions and millions of people have any computer anywhere in the world.

The evolution of computer video games Evolution

Muchisimo pong has evolved since 1972, today less than 40 years after the games have almost lifelike graphics, and realistic with mixed reactions where also through telecommunications technology can play with people around the world simultaneously and hold talks with them
For Nintendo Wii video game console 2006 is a clear example of how we started to control the machine in a more natural, less abstract, more instinctive, for example, is more natural to hit the tennis ball in a game like you would in reality, moving the arm and not to abstract action to press certain buttons to make this happen. Today in 2009 already is going even farther, there are sensors that capture the movement of our body without even using a control and the Wii. All this way to interact with technology recently is in gestation, the results already exist, but obviously the growth that can have in the coming years is difficult to estimate, probably always exceed our imagination as history shows.
within the next few years will progress into something more than mere entertainment, they may learn about the world history, where we will learn while making lots of choices do, because in a game you have to be making decisions every second as opposed to more passive attitude of just reading and reasoning, may also scored and also qualified and thus whether we are on track, if we are wrong or not because it is very difficult to have a teacher 24 hours to tell us if we are right or not, although
transmission through a human word will not run away to another but complement each other perfectly.
This may also end up being something more and more necessary because young people today often lose interest in the academic study as external stimuli are becoming stronger and studying them is bored study therefore make it fun and exciting is also necessary and games can be one of the most compelling solutions.

Grafica made by New York artist Dan Meth

The graph at left shows classic movies that were inspired in the future, imagining some only a few years later as Freejack, Robocop or Back to the Future 2 , while others projecting even several centuries later as Planet of the Apes or Dune (of course aware of the hypothetical 100% all or maybe those who say that 99% changed) and in between all the possible nuances. Beyond the successes and mistakes how important it may be that each of these films throw in different times show how these companies saw the future as projected their hopes and fears, some rational and others that time showed that there were more than collective paranoia determined by a new world that emerges, with new rules and players and especially many changes. Some are apocalyptic, some optimistic romantic, others simply exaggerate this and nothing else, some do not even pretend to have much scientific rigor above all projecting a future of several centuries later.
But one way or another contributed futuristic film to open the imagination and to consider future worlds in a more direct literature among other things because in the film we see the future not only imagine it. It is worth mentioning that just 40 years ago about the film has the "special effects and technology needed to give more credibility to the world that tries to show.

futuristic parallel electronic or virtual reality

In the future will be very common electronic cottage, with direct communication and interaction with the world and able to trade in a fast and very safe with anyone in any country, in an exaggerated way than that of today, everyone will have what is now known as "credit card" and their purchases will arrive much faster with less bureaucracy than today and a cheaper price, that drives the economy of an extraordinary and unarchive the congested city moving again people more lonely and remote places because the technology allows communication and interaction in a way that the Internet we know today will be a prehistoric dinosaur. The interior decoration will look highly modified, this art will become dynamic and can change the look, color and pictures of our house and will not be static, will be programmable, imagine in the future living room of his house, going to breakfast while you decide which view will have on the wall, this is an entire screen with a definition as high as our eyes can identified and can choose between the landscapes we want as the background, perhaps a stream with mountains in Egypt or enclosed environment and sound, our homes change interagency aspect as we want of a second to another.
I leave a link to a video that illustrates some of the concepts expressed herein.

Sun Have A Solid And Liquid Interior

In the future most will have multiple identities, perhaps only real, but several virtual, parallel, during recreation or didactic, but all took advantage of this virtual reality to make life more fun and diverse and because not for other people as such other virtual people interacting with us or our virtual personalities are essentially managed and controlled by ordinary human beings, therefore it is also a way to socialize and interact with very many human beings around the world who would otherwise never know and still in a playful and fun where real life is not at risk, where you may experience what we can not experience in the real world consequences that could be damaging to others, we can die and be born elsewhere, in the virtual world real human beings suffer not only live and play, learn, know and risk losing points or reputation but never life, that only happens in the real world, instead we'll have to try and we were not getting boring, even if the real world always gives us feelings the virtual world and they never give us the world should try to be joined harmoniously through experience and wisdom of human beings, but perhaps it is easier to say than reality.
today clear example of virtual reality games are the . Today's 3D technology allows us to visualize the city's ancient Roman empire rebuilt with very realistic graphics that provide us the trouble of having to imagine how it would be only looking at the archaeological or reading, in this same way in the future one may not only see the city rebuilt on a screen (monitor or tv) but you can walk through it, interact with others who will look like Romans, and this perhaps just a helmet and motion sensors, this technology is already starting to develop so that in the next few years will become a reality also will continue to evolve even further.

As we imagine the future, as was imagined this in the past

This blog is to discuss or simply exchange ideas about how we see the future, at least in the next 100 years as they go beyond demasiadoso serious and confusing. But also take glimpses about how in the last century (20) the man she imagined the future that now might be already past or present based on the film and literature mainly.
When you start investigating you realize that even the errors in forecasts (which abound) also enrich us and we see as a given society at a particular historical moment imagine the future, but using erroneous assumptions show us their vision of the future and as the story often takes turns that are unimaginable to anyone.
